Turtlenecks and Leopard: Part One

I have some great news for you!

Turtlenecks are cool again.  When did they go out of style? I can’t really answer that question, but I have been hesitant to bust mine out for fear of looking like the 80-year-old woman who I am on the inside.  I might talk a big game, but this Lady Olive needs her rest! I also genuinely love prunes.

I saw this post on The Zoe Report and may as well have started to clap my hands. If Rachel Zoe says they are stylish, pardon me while I go fishing in the depths of my dresser for my trusty turtlenecks! There is a reason I rarely part with anything…a method to my madness!

These are some really sharp looks that inspired me:

My favorite look has got to be Elin Kling. How can such a simple outfit look so fresh and fashionable? I think sticking with a black turtleneck is what keeps these looks modern.  I wanted something with clean lines, but with an edge. A little something to make you stand out in the crowd.  This is what I came up with.

Feeling a wee bit Sandra Dee in Grease at the end of year fair…

Leopard not your thing? Try adding a sporty hat. I am really digging hats these days!

I really do keep everything!

Check back in tomorrow for how to style a black turtleneck for a party look!

How do you wear your turtlenecks?
