Hello friends! I’m ignoring the fact that it’s Monday because it’s 48 degrees (with an expected high of 58!!!) in Charlotte today, the warmest it’s been in what feels like eons. I’m ready to break out the bikini.
I hope you had a good weekend! I have spent a lot of time lately thinking about green pants. Do you become fixated with certain items of clothing? I’ve got a one track mind evidently.
I have always been a fan of army green.
Even as a little girl I would get excited about my safari colored cargo skirts (yes, they’re a thing) and shirtdresses. Army green is really a more versatile color than you might think. Of course it looks great with basics like black, white and tan, but I think it’s always fun to add a pop of unexpected color. Army green, olive, moss- whatever you like to call it, looks really great with warm tones such as gold, yellow, red and orange. I grabbed some images of interiors to help you get the visual picture.

The subtle gold accessories really warm up this room and make it so inviting.

The red in the painting and the yellow sunflowers brighten this cute little powder room and make it look fresh.

I simply love this! These rugs? Can I live here? The dark green couches look striking with the orange and coral accents in the chairs, rugs, and wall art. This might be my dream living room.
On the left: I tried
these cargo skinnies on at Anthropologie the other day. The fit is pretty great, but they are very fitted throughout the calves. I am going to stalk them for a little while longer and see if they go on sale before I take the plunge. With a casual button down like
this one from Madewell and a pair of pointed toe nude pumps, your look is laid back but very put together. The Victoria’s Secret pair above has already sold out, but these
Ivanka Trumps are a reasonably priced alternative. I have a black pair that I swear look exactly like these
Valentinos.
On the right: I love the slanted zipper on these
Rag and Bone moto jeans. I can’t justify that price tag but they sure are gorgeous! With a simple silk tank like this one from
J.Crew and these super cute
leopard sneakers you look effortlessly cool…oh this old thing? Yeah. I’m into it. I’m 98% sure I need to own these $17 shoes.
To finish both looks, this
Poppy statement necklace from Banana Republic is great. I like the mint color too, but I’m really more of an orange gal! These
TOMS sunnies are tres chic. I love the lens shape and the funky blush color of the frames. To store your obscene lipstick collection and miscellany, you can never go wrong with a classic
Coach crossbody.
What colors do you like to pair with army green?
Now if only those temps were reading closer to 70! I am literally counting the days.

So jealous of your temperatures! It’s like 5 degrees here and supposed to hit the negatives with wind chill 😦 I love army green and really like these green walls! It’s such a great way to warm up a space and add a subtle pop of color!
Don’t be too sad…it’s supposed to be in the 20s here tomorrow!! I like green for interiors too, it’s not something you see that often! Thanks for your comment.
LOVE army green AND that bathroom!!!
My fav color to pair with army green is pale pink, and that coral in the last apartment picture is pretty snazzy, too! Though be sure its more pinky coral, and less orange street cone. 🙂
