Everyone knows it’s legal to wear white after Labor Day now, right?
I admit it, I still feel a little uneasy about it, kind of like when people stare at you when you bring your own refreshments into the movie theater. Judgey.
It took me almost all summer to find the perfectly fitting pair of white jeans, so I want to wear those babies all fall and winter long. I’m here to prove my case.
Naturally, I did what anyone else would do…googled “white jeans for fall”. And if these ladies can do it…
Then there is no reason we can’t pull it off! Afterall, what’s not wintry about white? It’s the color of snow, frost, your breath in the cold, the whipped cream on your peppermint mocha and the marshmallows on your s’mores!
I have created two looks, fall which I have designated with a crisp autumn leaf, and winter with a merry sprig of holly berries.
Fall: Plaid is the perfect way to add a cozy autumn vibe to your white denim (these are AG). I particularly love this shirt from Madewell (it also comes in red and blue!) Add these Boutique 9 lace up booties to elongate your legs and look effortlessly put together. This makes me want to sit by a fire and drink red wine (don’t spill!)
A little extra chill in the air? Please add a fur vest! I love adding fur (or faux fur) vests to casual outfits. It adds a certain je ne se quoi! This vest would look stunning with both fall and winter ensembles.
Winter: The monochromatic trend is huge this season. I love this knit sweater from H&M and at $29.95, it’s a great deal. These Michael Kors chocolate brown booties are so rich looking and are a nice contrast to an otherwise neutral outfit without being distracting.
With a leopard print clutch (this one from Marc Jacobs makes my head spin) and the Stella & Dot Sutton necklace and Adelina cuff , you are ready to seize the day.
