Hello again! Did you miss me?
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Mine was spent in Roanoke, VA–a quaint mountain town that’s just far enough away to make you feel like you’ve really gone somewhere!
We ate great food, drank lots of drinks, took daily naps (at least I did), and most importantly, spent quality time with one another. With our hectic jobs and various obligations, quality time with your loved ones is truly something to be thankful for!!
A few pictures from the weekend:
Ragin’ Cajun Bloody Mary from The Quarter
Snow Leopard, wolf and Lynx at Mill Mountain Zoo
The best Kettle Corn I have ever had! He cooked a fresh batch right in front of us. Incredible.
Post-workout Cosmo, totally acceptable
Hey–it was a vacation. And yes I have joined the league of obnoxious neon sneaker wearers and I don’t know why it took me so long!
It blows my mind that it’s already December! I feel so unprepared and scatterbrained. I am sure some of you know the feeling! The fact that I don’t have my Christmas tree up yet makes me want to scream!
Sometimes you have to take a deep breath and stop being so hard on yourself. We are our toughest critics! I know I certainly am.
Y’all know I love a good quote right? This one from Albert Einstein is sticking with me this holiday season and beyond.
What are you tips and tricks to staying sane during hectic times?
That is one crowded Bloody Mary! What is the glass rimmed with? Don’t feel alone in your December panic, Thanksgiving was late so Christmas has shown up quickly this year, I’m behind as well. Glad you enjoyed your holiday. Love the Einstein quote.
I love my Blood Marys with lots of snacks!! It’s rimmed with some Cajun seasonings. Super yummy but definitely NOT low sodium! 🙂
