Weekend Snaps

Hey there!  How was everyone’s weekend? Mine was a good mix of planned activity and relaxation.  Friday night John Paul and I were offered tickets to the Bobcats game and enjoyed courtside seats with another couple.  I almost wrote “front row seats.” You should all know that I am not a big sports fan, like, at all, but with seats like these…my sports induced ADD disappeared!

Saturday was so beautiful-we decided to walk to brunch, you know to cure our headaches and work up an appetite for brunch at Halcyon. Cappuccino also cures headaches quite nicely.

My beloved Salade Lyonnaise. You can check out my easy version here, which just so happens to be my very first post on The Lady Olive! Those bacon lardons get me every time.

Gearing up for True Detective with a DIY manicure with Essie Hide & Go Chic.

Do any of you watch True Detective? Matthew McConaughey  and Woody Harrelson are outstanding in this creepy mystery thriller.

Here’s to a wonderful week!

  1. You look great in your outfit! I realized you were not a sports fan when your wedding reception was the same night as the UNC-Duke basketball game! Know John Paul was glad to see UNC get revenge a week ago. We watch True Detective and yes, it is quite creepy.

  2. Thank you Karen! I was joking with mom my that I was going for a Little House on the Prairie look. And I just find it so difficult to concentrate on sports–trust me, I wish I didn’t!!
