Comfort First

The alarm goes off, press snooze, alarm goes off again, press snooze again, alarm goes off one last time and you better get up because you’re already late.

I know it’s not just me (it can’t be).

I haven't had my coffee yet
This is me, every day.

OK I’M AWAKE.

But what do I wear with no time to spare?!

One of the easiest ways to look put together in minimal time and with almost no effort is with a blazer. You can put one on with jeans and a t-shirt and actually look like you give a crap. And that’s precisely the look we’re going for.

Blazers, as sleek and sophisticated as they may be, have the propensity to be quite binding if you don’t find one in the right material. Let’s face it, a lot of us are at a desk for at least 8 hours a day. Let’s make those 8 hours as simultaneously cute and comfortable as possible.

Comfy blazers
  • 1.  This contrast knit blazer from J.Crew is at the top of my fall wish list. A blend of wool and cotton ensures you can move around it in without looking like you’re wearing a rain coat. The fitted cut is universally flattering to boot.  At $198, it is a little pricey for my wallet, but this is a piece you could wear with SO MANY different looks. Snag it now for 25% off with code FALLSTYLE!
  • 2.  Ahh, the striped blazer. My friends at work make fun of me for the amount of stripes I wear on a weekly basis. Some say it’s a sickness but I say it looks pretty d*mn sharp. Horizontal stripes—more versatile than you’d think. I’d even pair this with a printed trouser (make sure the print is on a smaller scale) for a trendier look.
  • 3.  I am so irritated because this blazer from ASOS is already sold out! I mean, it was in stock 8 hours ago. Anyway, a colorful leopard print blazer would be perfect in a creative work setting. This jacket is less fitted than option 1 and 2, so I would pair it with tighter bottoms to balance out its volume. It practically screams “Look at me, I’m so artsy and chic yet hardworking and trustworthy.” I would wear this in a heartbeat, if it wasn’t sold out…might have to get this one instead.

Never sacrifice comfort or your beauty sleep again!

So, what do you think about blazers? Love ’em? Hate ’em? Make you think only of Kris Jenner?
