Hats are really in for spring and summer and I have just made a ground breaking revelation.

Blondes look best in black or dark hats, brunettes look best in white or very light hats. I honestly never thought about this until the other day when I went hat hunting at Urban Outfitters and Anthropologie.

I was going on and on in this post about my kimono search and posted this Brixton hat as on my wish list. I am so glad I didn’t jump the gun on this hat!  I tried on quite a few and have realized that the medium brown color hat does absolutely nothing for my medium to dark brown hair!

Because I know you can hardly contain yourselves, here is the kimono I ordered:

Note: I usually hesitate to buy anything from F21 online because of the sizing, how can you be a small and simultaneously a large? But this kimono is safe to buy in your normal size.

She recently purchased this black rancher hat from Anthropologie and I thought to myself “Wow, I bet the black will look great contrasting with her light flowing locks!” Then I thought, “Wait a second, if black hats look good on blondes, white hats must look good on brunettes for the same reason!” All this time, the answer was right in front of my face.

What kind of hat do you have your eye on? I know they’re trendy, but I cannot get behind the Pork Pie hats. Maybe it’s the weird name, but I just can’t do it.
